Mission
Advocating and Breaking Stereotypes
Nuha's Neuro Bridge is dedicated to fostering awareness of neurodivergent conditions in children and teens, championing early diagnosis for neurodivergent conditions, breaking stereotypes and cultural stigmas surrounding neurodiversity, and overall uplifting the neurodivergent community.

About Me
My name is Nuha Sayeed
Hi, I’m Nuha Sayeed, and I'm so glad you’re here at NuhaNeuroBridge.com!
Ever since I can remember, I’ve been passionate about connecting with people, understanding different perspectives, and finding ways to make a positive impact in my community. I’m currently a student at Bonita High School (Class of 2026!), and throughout my experiences—whether it’s planning events for our Theater Club, teaching younger Girl Scouts, or founding our South Asian Student Association—I’ve seen how powerful understanding and communication can be.
My journey into the world of advocacy and awareness, especially around neurodiversity, started from observing and learning. I believe it’s so important to talk about how our cultural backgrounds and community beliefs shape our understanding of health and well-being. This is particularly true for neurodivergent conditions in children. I want to help create a space where families, especially those from communities of color and immigrant backgrounds, feel seen, heard, and empowered to seek early support for their children.
That’s why I started NuhaNeuroBridge—to build that bridge of understanding, share stories, and provide clear information.

Matters of the Mind & Heart
Explore Nuha's Girl Scout Gold Award Project that aims to educate Muslim Youth about mental health.

Issue
Many traditional Muslim families tend to believe that mental health issues stem from a lack of dedication to faith or keeping up with prayers. However, if even the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) experienced a year of depression during his life, how could this be true? Nuha's project intends to address muslim youth who don't feel supported by their community regarding mental health and change their attitudes about mental well-being.

The Project
The Matters of the Mind and Heart Initiative includes a series of presentations at the Islamic Center of San Gabriel Valley's Islamic Sunday School about the connection between Islam and mental health, as well as advice for dealing with, recognizing, and addressing mental health issues. Along with presentations, Nuha will be creating pamphlets for students to take home and an Instagram Page to spread knowledge about the bridge between Islam and mental wellness.

Nuha's Research Project
Retrograde Amnesia affects many survivors of traumatic brain injuries and significantly worsens their quality of life. The mechanisms of amnesia largely remain a mystery to scientists, but Nuha's research explores current theories about the neural mechanisms of memory storage and the effect of amnesia.
